Eco-Friendly Initiative: Seed Paper Gifts

In a move towards environmental sustainability, visitors will receive eco-friendly gifts in the form of Seed Paper, an initiative highlighted by Navika Gupta, the deputy press secretary to the President. These papers contain embedded seeds, encouraging guests to plant them and contribute to environmental conservation in their own homes.

Challenges of Maintaining the Gardens in Summer

Maintaining the gardens during the harsh summer months is no small feat, as noted by a horticulturist at Rashtrapati Bhavan. He emphasized the challenges posed by the intense heat of May and June, which necessitates increased irrigation and special care. The plants chosen for this season are particularly resilient, and suited to endure Delhi’s extreme climate. During the monsoon season, extra attention is given to the care of potted plants.

Must-Visit Sections: Bonsai and Circular Gardens

Visitors are encouraged not to miss the Bonsai Garden and the Circular Gardens, both renowned for their diverse range of flora and fauna. These sections of Amrit Udyan are celebrated for their beauty and variety, offering a serene escape within the bustling city.
